The challenge

Reporting took three days to produce by hand. Leadership was making strategic decisions on data that was already obsolete.

Lumivate is a B2B SaaS company with 180 employees and $22M ARR. Their data lived across Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, Jira, and a custom product database — with no single view of what was happening across the business. The finance team produced a Monday report that took three analysts three days to prepare. By Wednesday it was outdated.

Our approach

1

Data model design

We designed a centralised data warehouse on Snowflake, mapping every source system to a unified semantic layer. Entity resolution was a significant challenge — customer records existed under 14 different ID schemes across systems.

2

Pipeline architecture

dbt transformation pipelines run on a 4-hour cadence, with critical metrics updating hourly. We built a data quality layer with automated anomaly detection — if ARR figures deviate more than 2% from expected ranges, the pipeline pauses and alerts.

3

Executive dashboard

A bespoke Looker dashboard gives the leadership team a single view of ARR, churn, NPS, engineering velocity, and support load. Built to their exact decision-making framework — not a generic BI template.

I used to walk into board meetings hoping the numbers were right. Now I know they are — and I can drill into anything in real time.
